The 365 Day Baking/cooking/Grilling/Crock-Pot Challenge.
So what is this challenge? Don't you cook something every day?
Sadly, the answer is no. Some days we just don't feel like cooking, so we go out to eat or expect others to do the cooking. I have decided that this year since again I am Housewife Extraordinaire yet again, that I am going to cook/bake/grill or make something in my crock pot daily.
So Starting January 1st, 2013 I will start this challenge.
Since I love to cook and make people happy with my cooking, I'll be sure to document and share my recipes. I am also going to try and do a weekly video.
I also plan on 90% of all of my foods that normally come from a box (Cakes, corn bread and so on) are going to be made from scratch! We rely on boxed goods to help us make dinner. What happened to the old days when we would use a cup or two of flour and roll out our own pizza dough? We could control the salt and sugar and other ingredients in our food. With everything being made for us, we have no idea what we really are eating.
Maybe this year or next, I'll start making my own sauces, creams and more :)

Here we go!
January is going to be a hard month to keep up with the Challenge since I'll be going out of town for a week. No internet access or access to a kitchen. I'll be on a cruise going to Mexico and back.
So, I am doubling up on the recipes and cooking this month.
I also spend the night with a friend of mine every other week, so I'll double up on those weeks too.
So let's get this challenge started shall we?

C - Cornbread
D - Deviled Eggs
I also made dehydrated Apples & Bananas and baked a Ham wrapped in bacon and covered it in honey mustard sauce that I made.

Left overs are wonderful!
